On August 7, 2023, the opening ceremony of the International Conference “Windows to the Universe” took place at ICISE which commemorating 30 Years of Rencontres du Vietnam. It is a scientific event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Rencontres du Vietnam providing an academic forum for scientific exchange and collaboration in the fields of Fundamental Physics and Astronomy. The conference gathered scientists, researchers, and scholars from Vietnam, Asia-Pacific, and other regions worldwide to share knowledge, present research results, and discuss the latest advancements in these scientific fields.

Attending the conference were Mr. Huỳnh Thành Đạt, Minister of Science and Technology;

Mr. Hồ Quốc Dũng, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee;

Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee;

Professor, PhD. Nguyễn Đại Hưng – President of the Vietnam Physical Society representing the society to pay tribute to Professor, Academician Nguyễn Văn Hiệu.

Mr. Ngô Hướng Nam, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.

Mr. Phạm Đình Nguyên, Director of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED).

The leaders and former leaders of the province and various departments also participated.

The conference was also attended by Nobel Laureate in Physics 1999, Professor Gerard ‘t Hooft, and more than 150 scientists from 23 countries and territories.
