Overview

The sugar industry, with sugarcane and sugar beet as its primary raw materials, plays a crucial role in the global economy. Sugarcane accounts for nearly 80% of the world’s sugar production, serving not only as a key sugar source but also as a promising biomass material for biofuel production.

However, sugar production often comes with various environmental, social, and stakeholder challenges, involving farmers, mills, energy companies, and food industries. To address these challenges and seize new opportunities, the sugar industry is undergoing continuous transformation. The adoption of advanced biotechnologies, such as biofiltration, not only enhances the value of sugar products but also generates a variety of valuable by-products. Additionally, the production of biofuels from sugarcane is gaining increasing attention, contributing to the growth of the green economy.

The 8th IAPSIT International Sugar Conference & Sugarcon 2024 will serve as a vital forum where experts, scientists, agricultural extension officers, businesses, and industry stakeholders can share experiences, discuss challenges, propose innovative solutions, and foster collaborations to promote the sustainable development of the sugar industry.

ICISE

Hội thảo sẽ được tổ chức tại Trung tâm Quốc tế Khoa học và Giáo dục liên ngành - ICISE, thuộc tổ chức khoa học phi lợi nhuận: "Hội Khoa học Gặp gỡ Việt Nam". Nằm bên cạnh bãi biển tuyệt đẹp, ICISE sẽ giúp những người đến đây tận hưởng thiên nhiên, văn hóa con người Việt Nam trong suốt quá trình tham dự hội thảo

ICISE ra đời với ước nguyện sẽ là nơi phát triển khoa học và giáo dục, giúp đỡ các sinh viên và nhà khoa học trẻ Việt Nam hội nhập và cộng đồng khoa học quốc tế, mang lại cơ hội cho thế hệ trẻ Việt Nam nâng cao trình độ hiểu biết của mình thông qua việc tham dự các cuộc gặp gỡ và chia sẻ ý tưởng với các đồng nghiệp quốc tế có trình độ cao.

ICISE sẽ trở thành điểm đến của khoa học và là điểm sáng không chỉ của Việt Nam, mà còn của cả khu vực Đông Nam Á, nâng cao vị thế và hình ảnh của Việt Nam trong mắt bạn bè quốc tế.
