All participants are required visas to visit Vietnam, except for a few exemptions. Vietnam Visa exemption is granted to:

• • Citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos for visits of 30 days at the maximum.
  • Citizens of Philippines for visits of 21 days at the maximum.
  • Citizens of Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Russia and Finland for visits of 15 days at the maximum.

If you plan to stay in Vietnam for a maximum duration of 30 days, please apply for an E-visa by following the national web portal for E-visa. The typical processing time is 3 to 4 working days. Once the E-visa is approved, please print and present it directly to the officer at the immigration desk.

If you plan to stay in Vietnam longer than a month, please apply for a tourist visa by either going to your nearest Vietnamese consulate or through the Internet at following websites (you will have to retrieve it on your arrival):

The internet visa procedure is cheaper but it will take some time (~ 60 min) at the airport immigration office, depending on the queue. Do not forget to bring 2 passport photos and cash (in USD) as required by the internet visa service.

Travel

The airport serving Quy Nhon is Phu Cat airport (UIH).

It is most convenient to transit in either of the two main international airports in Vietnam: Noi Bai airport (HAN) in Ha Noi and  Tan Son Nhat (SGN) airport in Ho Chi Minh city. Please note that there more flights from Ho Chi Minh city to Quy Nhon,

The transfer should indicate clearly your full name to identify the payee. Please inform the conference secretariat by fax or email that the transfer has been done. You should obtain a proof of payment and hand it to the conference secretariat at the conference site. It will take at least four (4) weeks for our account to be credited, so please have the transfer made before June 14th, 2019.

Financial support

Some limited accommodation funds may be available for PhD students. If you wish to apply for financial support, please fill in the application form and send us before June 1st. Additionally, a letter of recommendation should be sent to:

Several post-conference Tours will be proposed for participants: a feeling of these can be seen on this web site.

It will also be possible to have a short (1-2 days) tour either before or after the conference. However, this will have to be arranged directly by the participant through a local travel agency. We will provide the link for a local travel agent in the near future.
