When applying for an E-visa, participants should list the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) and the address: 07 Science Avenue, Ghenh Rang, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Vietnam as the hosting organisation.
After 3 days, participants can check their visa status and download the approval form which they will need to bring to the airport to enter Viet Nam at the following link:https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/tra-cuu-thi-thuc
Once participants have received their visa approval letter, they can collect their visa upon arrival in an international airport in Viet Nam (Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi) before proceeding to their flight to Quy Nhon.
If participants cannot obtain an E-Visa, they are kindly requested to contact the IPU secretariat at peace@ipu.org or science@ipu.org
The closest airport to the ICISE and Quy Nhon is Phu Cat airport (UIH), which only serves domestic flights in Viet Nam, with flights from both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the two main international airports in Viet Nam. It should be noted that there is a greater number of daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon than from Hanoi.
The organisers of the Science for Peace Parliamentary meeting will arrange a transfer from the Quy Nhon airport to the hotel. In order to ensure timely pickup, please include in your registration form the flight number for your arrival in Quy Nhon if they have already been booked, or inform Ms. Marine Hermes (peace@ipu.org) and Ms. Tasnim Jberi (science@ipu.org) of any changes to your itinerary thereafter.
The costs associated with the participants accommodation and meals will be covered by the organizers. Participants are expected to pay for their own travel to and from Viet Nam.
Based on the information provided in the registration form, accommodation at Seagull Hotel will be booked for participants between the dates of the conference from Sunday 10 September to Thursday 14 September. Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday 10 September in Quy Nhon and to leave on 14 September in the morning.
In order to enhance the interaction and exchange, all participants will be accommodated in the same hotel and are requested to have lunch and dinner together. For a registration made on or before 25 August, the accommodation is guaranteed at the Seagull Hotel. After this date, accommodation will be booked in a neighbouring hotel if the lodging capacity at Seagull Hotel is sold out.
All sessions will be held in the ICISE conference center, 10 minutes taxi (or one hour walk) away from the hotel (https://goo.gl/maps/t7hcanjEXxuAvFYB7). Daily bus transfer (at the morning and at the end of the afternoon) will be provided by the conference organization. The conference center is located in a wooded area in front of a beach with calm spaces that are conducive to walks during breaks.
Breakfast will be served in the hotel. Lunch will be served at ICISE and dinners will be served at ICISE or restaurants close to the hotel.
Where possible, participants should have a basic level of English to allow interaction amongst themselves during group sessions, mealtimes, and informal activities. In line with IPU guidelines, we strive to obtain a gender-balanced cohort of participants with strong regional diversity. Specific care has been taken to ensure a gender, age, and regionally balanced panel of speakers.
