An Invitation

We cordially invite you to participate in the 10th edition of the conference of the Asia Pacific Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (APATCC-10) which will take place in the unique conference site of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon, Vietnam, from 19 to 23 February 2023:

ICISE – International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education

ICISE – APATCC-10

The Asia Pacific Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (APATCC) is a major organisation representing theoretical, quantum and computational scientists in the Asia-Pacific region.

Held every two years, the APATCC conference is an important scientific event which brings together an international network of not only chemists but also physicists, life and materials scientists… These conferences in the bourgeoning field of scientific computations attract a strong participation of academia, industry and government.

It will create opportunities for the establishment of alliances and collaborations of scientists from the Asia Pacific region working in a broad range of computational science and its applications.

The conference is designed to facilitate networking, and deliver ways of positioning the organization for the future.

The locations of the past APATCC conferences were:

  • 2004 Okazaki, Japan
  • 2005 Bangkok, Thailand
  • 2007 Beijing, China
  • 2009 Port Dickson, Singapore / Malaysia
  • 2011 Rotorua, New Zealand
  • 2013 Gyeongju, Korea
  • 2016 Kaohsiung, Taiwan
  • 2017 Mumbai, India
  • 2019 Sydney, Australia

The APATCC-10 was planned for 2021, but due to the Covid pandemic, it is postponed to February 2023 in Vietnam.

Topics

The APATCC topics range from cutting-edge development in the fundamental methods to the applications and modelling to diverse fields in chemistry, spectroscopy, condensed physics, life and materials sciences…

A particular attention will be paid to the development of the fields in the age of machine learning and quantum computation.

Viewpoints on the history of the development of computational quantum chemistry will also be given.

Format

It will be organized as a real meeting with all talks and poster sessions in presence.

The format of APATCC-10 will include plenary lectures (40 minutes), key-note lectures (35 minutes), invited lectures (30 minutes) and invited communications (15 minutes), and poster presentations.

Plenary lecturers include the 2020, 2021 and 2022 laureates of the People and Fukui Medals of the APATCC, as well as leading computational chemists from Asia, Europe and America.

The organization team is very much looking forward to welcoming you in Quy Nhon, Vietnam in February 2023.
