Summary:

The 1st year of the International Convention on Historical & Cultural Heritage and Artistic Adaptations (ICHCHAA) will be held at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) on November 26-27, 2022. Organized by TNA Entertainment, in collaboration with Rencontres du Vietnam, Van Lang University (VLU), and the Youth Sustainable Development (YSD), ICHCHAA is a place for academics and artists to come together to exchange the theoretical and practical elements of these innately abstract disciplines in order to achieve the interconnected and interdisciplinary nature of these disciplines.

Topics of discussion at the Convention include contemporary narrative television and cinematic projects that adapt materials from historical records, historical tales, fold legends and myths, historical literature, historical drama, and religious classics before the 20th century in Vietnam shows which have an intertextual relationship with Southeast Asia and East Asian historical and cultural stories. The focus will be on Vietnamese cinematic industry with a cultural display at the event.
