Research on wild lives of plastic on show in Quy Nhon

QUY NHON — A research exhibition titled “Plastic Matters: Wild Lives” is on display at the International Centre of Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in the central city of Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province. The exhibition showcases the connection between plastic and human, especially in the context of everyday life in Vietnam. It explores how plastic, since the beginning of the Doi Moi Era, has found its way to every conner of Vietnamese society and how the rampant use of plastic has become an environmental issue, especially to the country’s marine environment.

PM visits int’l science and education centre in Bình Định

BÌNH ĐỊNH – Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc agreed in principle to a plan to build the south central province of Bình Định into a scientific and educational urban area when visiting the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) yesterday. Professors Tran Thanh Van, Le Kim Ngoc awarded Friendship Order

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented prestigious Friendship Order to Vietnamese French Professors Le Kim Ngoc and Tran Thanh Van at a ceremony held in Hanoi on July 8 for their outstanding contribution the country’s scientific development and childcare in Vietnam. The two professors, Tran Thanh Van and his wife Le Kim Ngoc established an Association in France to help Vietnamese children in 1970. They have returned home to organize many exchanges between Vietnamese and foreign scientists since 1993.
